Madison and Rocco’s late June wedding has us dreaming of warmer weather, summer blooms, and a fresh breeze blowing through the tent while guests dance under the chandeliers.

Historic Shady Lane’s 1900s bandstand is a timeless space on the property, allowing for portraits on stone steps and ivy-draped backdrops. With filtering sunlit and towering trees, the bandstand is a popular favorite for wedding party photos before and after the ceremony.
A Rose Garden Ceremony at Historic Shady Lane
The Rose Garden at Historic Shady Lane provides an intimate and serene setting for any style of ceremony. The little touches Rocco and Madison added to the site allowed nature to fill the background, but their peach and white florals, modern-font welcome sign, and circular ceremony arch brought out their own personality.
Personal Touches at Cocktail Hour
Historic Shady Lane’s greenhouse is always the star of the show, welcoming guests to the official celebration after the ceremony. With glass windows and an original 1890s foundation, the greenhouse provides a unique space for couples to welcome their guest and get the party started.
Madison and Rocco’s guest book was a telephone where guests could record their well-wishes, favorite memories, and inside jokes, while a full grazing table kept the hunger away pre-dinner.
A Reception to Remember
Elegantly contrasting with Historic Shady Lane’s white-draped reception tent, Madison and Rocco’s blue and peach tones brought the summer party to life.
Guests enjoyed breadsticks served family-style, their choice of pasta, and sweets from a Pittsburgh cookie table dessert display!
