Makenzie and Jake’s May wedding at Historic Shady Lane was filled with meaningful details and timeless spring wedding design. The couple chose to celebrate on a date that already held special meaning to them — their wedding day marked their five year anniversary together, making the day even more personal for their family and friends.

Their outdoor ceremony took place on the Greenhouse Terrace, surrounded by the natural landscaping and spring blooms that make May weddings in Pennsylvania especially beautiful. The ceremony space paired perfectly with their classic floral design and soft seasonal color palette.
Inside the reception tent, hydrangeas became the focal point of the entire design. Guests entered a space filled with lush hydrangea arrangements on every table, creating a clean and elevated spring wedding look throughout the venue. Above the dance floor, a hanging hydrangea installation transformed the space and became one of the standout design elements of the evening.

From the thoughtful anniversary date to the floral-focused reception design, Makenzie and Jake created a wedding day that felt personal, elegant, and perfectly suited for a spring wedding at Historic Shady Lane in York County, Pennsylvania.
