If you’re searching for an outdoor wedding venue in Pennsylvania for a July wedding, you’re likely looking for beautiful outdoor space that provides the freedom to create a day that flows easily but is also elegant. Billy and Cassondra’s July wedding at Historic Shady Lane is a perfect example of how a summer wedding can do just this.

A Ceremony in the Rose Garden
One of our couples’ favorite things about booking their wedding at Historic Shady Lane is the flexibility in ceremony sites. In July, the property is fully green, naturally landscaped, and ready for outdoor ceremonies without needing additional, heavy décor. If you’re planning a garden wedding in PA or a greenhouse wedding ceremony, the setting already does most of the work.
Cassondra and Billy were married in the Rose Garden, a serene grass and cobblestone site set against the backdrop of our 1825s stone house, tall trees, and soft-flowing creek.

Wedding Portraits at Historic Shady Lane
Historic Shady Lane is often described as a “photographer’s dream venue,” because of all the texture and natural backdrops for photos. With features and buildings spanning over 250 years, couples are treated to dreamy photo opportunities that can’t be found anywhere else.
Cassondra and Billy were photographed at the late 1700s stone spring house, early 1900s bandstand and steps, and at the 1890-built stone and glass greenhouse.

Elegant Tented Reception Space
Historic Shady Lane proudly hosts receptions in a 4,000 square-foot tent, complete with white draping and crystal chandeliers. A formal entryway and cement floor make the space elevated from your typical tent set up.
Our couples enjoy the freedom to decorate in the way that matches their wedding’s aesthetic and transforms the space into their wedding day dream. Everyone Deserves Flowers brought the natural scenery of Historic Shady Lane into the reception tent by adding touches of draping greens across the ceiling and on the chandeliers, as well as light touches across the reception tables.
